Hello and welcome to my blog!
My name is Tiffany and I teach middle school math in an urban school district.
This will be my 5th year (2nd full year) year teaching, and I will be teaching 7th grade! It has been a journey to get to the point where I am now. I actually taught a large variety of high school math classes ranging from basic skills to statistics due to the seven long term leave replacement positions I took while searching for a full-time position. After taking my final leave replacement position at a k-8 school, where I taught 5th, 6th and 8th grade geometry for 6 months, I realized I had fallen in love with teaching middle school and here I am now!
I made this blog to share my ideas, tips and tricks with you all. I absolutely love collaborating with fellow teachers and sharing ideas so what better place than here. My goal as a math educator is to make math more fun and enjoyable for students. I want them to want to learn, explore, think and challenge themselves! I do this mostly through hands-on activities and games to help reinforce concepts. I also love interactive notebooks! You will see posts in the future about these.
